God’s Armory
Put on the whole armour of God
When to pray it: Every morning, before the day starts
Stand on the Word
“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.”
“Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.”
“For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
The prayer
Father, in the name of Jesus, I come before You this morning. I am strong in You and in the power of Your might.
I put on the whole armour of God, that I may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. I know my fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers and the rulers of the darkness of this world.
I gird my loins about with truth. Let no lie of the enemy find a place in me today.
I put on the breastplate of righteousness. I stand in the righteousness of Christ, not my own.
My feet are shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace. Order my steps, and let me carry Your peace everywhere I go.
Above all, I take the shield of faith, and with it I quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
I put on the helmet of salvation. Guard my mind and keep my thoughts on You.
I take the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Put Your Word in my mouth today.
I will pray always, watching with all perseverance for all saints. In Jesus' name, Amen.
