Statement of faith

We believe:

1. The Bible. The Bible is the inspired Word of God. "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness." (2 Timothy 3:16 KJV)

2. Jesus Christ. Jesus declares, "I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the first and the last." (Revelation 22:13 KJV) He also says, "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." (John 14:6 KJV)

3. Salvation. We are called to "repent ye, and believe the gospel." (Mark 1:15 KJV) The gospel is that "Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures." (1 Corinthians 15:3-4 KJV) He "his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree." (1 Peter 2:24 KJV) "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." (Romans 6:23 KJV) "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 KJV)

4. The Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is given to believers as a down payment of what God has promised. "In whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory." (Ephesians 1:13-14 KJV) God "hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit." (2 Corinthians 5:5 KJV)

Study rules

  • Ask honest questions and answer with Scripture where you can. Include the Bible reference.
  • Be kind. Disagree with ideas, never attack people.
  • Stay on topic. This is a place for Bible study, not arguments about politics.
  • Do not share anyone's personal information.
  • No spam, advertising, or self-promotion.
  • You must be at least [MINIMUM AGE] years old to join.

Prayer wall rules

  • Replies on the prayer wall are for encouragement only. Please do not debate or correct.
  • Protect privacy. Use first names only, and never post someone else's private details.
  • Post anonymously if you need to. Moderators can still see who posted, to keep everyone safe.
  • If someone is in danger, contact local emergency services first.

How moderation works

  • A new member's first 3 posts are reviewed by a moderator before they appear.
  • Posts that contain links, or that are reported by 2 members, are reviewed before they appear again.
  • Any member can report a post. Moderators review every report.
  • When a post is removed, the author is told which rule it broke.
  • Repeated problems can lead to a warning, a 7 or 30 day ban, or a permanent ban.
