Stand on the Word

“There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.”
The prayer
Father, I bring You this chain I cannot break on my own. I confess it to You, and I ask You to set me free.
If the Son shall make me free, I shall be free indeed. I receive that freedom now.
I stand fast in the liberty wherewith Christ has made me free, and I will not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage.
Sin shall not have dominion over me, for I am not under the law, but under grace.
When temptation comes, show me the way of escape that You have promised, and give me the strength to take it. In Jesus' name, Amen.
