“When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.”
The prayer
Father, thank You for carrying me through this day.
I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep, for You, LORD, only make me dwell in safety.
You that keep me shall neither slumber nor sleep. I rest because You are watching.
When I lie down I shall not be afraid, and my sleep shall be sweet. Guard my dreams, my mind and my home through the night. In Jesus' name, Amen.
