The prayer
Father, I put this trip in Your hands. The LORD shall preserve me from all evil. He shall preserve my soul.
Preserve my going out and my coming in, from this time forth and even for evermore.
Give Your angels charge over me, to keep me in all my ways. Watch over every mile, every turn and every driver around me.
When I pass through the waters, be with me. Keep me alert, rested and safe, and bring me home to my family.
Cover everyone traveling with me, and everyone waiting for me to arrive. In Jesus' name, Amen.
