When fear comes
When to pray it: When worry or fear grips your heart
Stand on the Word
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”
Isaiah 41:10KJV
“What time I am afraid, I will trust in thee.”
Psalm 56:3KJV
The prayer
Father, fear is knocking, but I know it did not come from You. You have not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
You told me, fear thou not, for I am with thee. Be not dismayed, for I am thy God. So I stand on that right now.
Strengthen me. Help me. Hold me up with the right hand of Your righteousness.
What time I am afraid, I will trust in You. I lay this fear at Your feet and I take up faith. In Jesus' name, Amen.
