The prayer
Father, I thank You for my marriage. You joined us together, and what You have joined together, let not man put asunder.
Make us one flesh in every way: one in heart, one in purpose, one in prayer. Be the third strand in our cord, because a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Teach us to love each other the way Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it. Help us bear all things, believe all things, hope all things and endure all things.
Guard our marriage from every attack: from pride, bitterness, temptation and anything that would come between us. Heal what has been hurt, and restore what has been lost.
Let our home show the world Your love. In Jesus' name, Amen.
