What does the Bible teach about the Trinity?

Matthew 28:19

Top answer · De Juan Tartt

The Bible teaches that God is triune: three persons in one God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. John 5:26: Jesus states that the Father has life in Himself, and so He has granted Him (Jesus) to have life in Himself. Acts 5:3–4: It states that lying to the Holy Spirit is lying to God. That means the Holy Spirit is God as well.
Matthew 28:19 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:"

What happens after death?

Hebrews 9:27

Top answer · De Juan Tartt

This is a very interesting question because no one knows for certain because there has only ever been one that has died and returned or should I say resurrected which is Jesus Christ. People have (NDEs) which is near death experiences and some have actually even flat lined. Those are amazing stories however, we need scripture in this case. What happens after death? From what scripture tells us is that it depends on how you lived your life. Someone that has not given there life to Christ will go to hell. Here are a few scriptures on that even though they don't say you go explicitly to hell but it infers it. John 3:18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 8:24: Jesus says "I said therefore unto you, that ye shall die in your sins: for if ye believe not that I am he, ye shall die in your sins.." Matthew 25:41: Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

Why was God going to kill Moses in Exodus 4:24-26?

Exodus 4:24-26

Top answer · De Juan Tartt

The Lord had given Moses a divine assignment but Moses had not fulfilled his obligation by circumcising his son. Thus breaking the covenant between God Almighty and Abraham who Moses is descended from. Genesis 17:4 ' As for me, behold, my covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations." Notice Moses wife (Zipporah) cut the foreskin of her son immediately after the LORD sought to kill Moses and this verse explains why: God says in Genesis 17:10-11 ' This is my covenant, which ye shall keep, between me and you and thy seed after thee; Every man child among you shall be circumcised. And ye shall circumcise the flesh of your foreskin; and it shall be a token of the covenant betwixt me and you.'

Where should a beginner start reading the Bible?

John 20:31

Top answer · Ahnjonee

This is a thoughtful question, because it reminds me that we all learn differently. I started from the beginning, Genesis, and continued through Revelation. I wanted to get the full picture — the HOW unfolded as I read. Reading in canonical order means nothing gets referenced before I read it at least once. However, someone else may want to start with the WHY. John, or The Gospel According to Saint John, answers the WHY question. John 20:31: “But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.” Additionally, this is where beginners can read the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and deepen their relationship with Him.
