What does the Bible teach about the Trinity?

The bible teaches that God triune which are three persons of God which are the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirt. John 6:26 Jesus states that the Father has life in Himself and so he has granted Him (Jesus) life in Himself. Acts 5:24 It states that lying to the Holy Spirit is lying to God. That means the Holy Spirit is God as well.

The term "trinity" is not a word found in the Bible. It's a theological term that expresses what scripture teaches: God is ONE, yet exists as three distinct persons. Matthew 28:19 shows this. Believers are baptized “in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.” The word is NAME, not names: one name, three persons.
